Our history: a background in aerospace, underpinning our expertise and sustainability

In order to enable the industrial world to benefit from its 30 years of expertise in geolocation, CLS (a subsidiary of CNES and CNP, an international group specialising in the provision of Earth observation and monitoring solutions since 1986) created its subsidiary Novacom CLS Services in 2002. It is also an opportunity for CLS to offer a new range of services. These are based on the concept of the Novacom Services platform, a true data centre that enables our customers to collect, process and access their data.

Novacom Services was a CLS subsidiary until beginning of 2019. It is now a unit of CLS Group, Novacom CLS Services, fleet management solutions. This also gave CLS, subsidiary of CNES, French Spatial Agency, and CNP, the opportunity to offer a new range of services. These are based around the concept of the Novacom CLS Services’ platforma first-class data centre through which our customers can collect, process and access their data.

Since June 2010, Novacom Services joined forces with its long-standing customer TIP Trailer Services, a mobile equipment services and funding company which is a subsidiary of General Electric, to create a joint venture—Novacom Europe BV—aimed at developing and promoting telematics solutions for transport professionals at European level.

In January 2019, Novacom Services merged with its parent company CLS and became a commercial division of CLS. It markets the Novacom Services solutions: geolocation and fleet management connected to professionals in different business areas.

CLS’s fleet management solutions are marketed through its three sites:

  • CLS Ramonville-Saint-Agne (head office)
  • CLS Bidart
  • Novacom Europe, Amsterdam (Trailermatics transport and logistics solution only)
